Tipping Question

This may sound stupid, but do you generally tip for hair and makeup TRIALS?
And also, I have read that in general, business owners dont expect to get tipped - what are ou doing if your photographer, dj, mua, etc. is the owner and is providing your services?

I tipped for my trial and I plan on tipping our mc who is the owner of the company.

I tipped for hair and makeup trials. And we will be tipping our photographer and videographer too, who are owners of their company.

I tipped my makeup artist for the trial. Haven't done hair yet but will tip her too.

As for the others, I'm curious about that too.
