I have a friend who told me he is going to do my makeup for the wedding as my gift.. I'm going for a trial tonite with him...How do i approach the topic of what to pay him for the trial, and how much should i tip him?

If he's a friend, I would maybe forgo tipping him cash and bring a little gift instead- a gift certificate to a restaurant, a nice bottle of wine, something like that.
