Tipping Question Re: Food Tasting

I have my food tasting tomorrow night at VYC and was wondering how tipping works for these??? I doubt you tip the BM but my guess is that he isn't the person serving us, right?

Do you tip the waiter/dining room captain???

Any thoughts???

I don't think any tipping is required. Bill was actually the one who served us and he was the only one we saw all night.

Yea I think I would feel like and idiot trying to slip him a $20

Laura, did you or anyone that was with you order alcoholic drinks or just stuck with soft drinks..I know my Dad is going to go straight for the booz and I want to tell him not to even ask if they don't offer it.

I didn't realize you could bring that many people to a tasting! And I didn't realize you could order drinks! ... ???? And I definitely didn't consider tipping??? My tasting is in March, glad to have found this out now!!

We didn't tip and we ordered our signature drinks to sample as well....gl and keep me posted on tasting

It went really well..thank you so much for asking mama

As for tipping, our BM brought out most of the food. We did want to tip the waitress that took our drink orders and brought them to us but we couldn't find her when we were leaving. There was a party going on so she must have went into the reception room.
