Sorry, I know this has been covered before, but can everyone list who they are planning to tip, and roughly what percentage is normal? (Limos, videographer, etc)
Also, I`ve heard a lot of mixed answers on whether or not you tip the photographer. Considering you can`t see their final work, it`s hard to tell, however some people tip just for the good service they received that day.
Thanks everyone!

Our photographer 'suggests' a tip of 5% of your total package price.

Tipping questions- Band
I don't think anyone has ever responded to how much would be appropriate if you have a band- we're having a 7 piece band and I definitely had not figured tips for all of them in our budget. Any suggestions??

Tipping questions-
Teri...I hope I can help you out...but I was a waitress..so that has made me a big tipper...
all my vendors are getting btwn $20-50 per person working depending on service..
My sister was a photographers asst...and she said it was ALWAYS weel appreciated when they got tipped...so I will tip the 2 photgs and asst.
Maitre d...$2-4 pp
bridal assistant $1-2 pp
and I know the limo includes tip, but I would probably tip at the end again if he was nice...
so tipping will be a grand total of...(including the gratuity the hall charged me):
$5000 (highest tips for everyone)

NJ & Erica
NJ - Sorry - not sure on bands - we`re using a DJ.
Yabbobay - Thanks for the info - I was a waitress too at a catering company (which will go unnamed!) and although the hostess tipped the Company, it wasn`t always given to us. So, I did always appreciate it when we received the tip! Since my hall doesn`t factor that in, it`s hard to really budget correctly.
With SAS, are you tipping Tom, along with his assts? We`re having him and 1 asst.
What about your videographer? Are you tipping him as well?
Thanks!

I am giving Tom from SAS $90-100, b/c there will be 3 people total..I hope he gives his employees $50 each...I thought about the comment on the contract and think its there b/c he doesn't work all the 'gigs', so he may want to make sure his guys get something...
video is the toughest one...b/c I don't think there is any non-family employee, except one other guy during the ceremony...but I think maybe I'll put $50 in an envelope. but out of all my vendors...He is the one I see turning it down...
Am I going out of control? Now that I look at everything I wonder...

It's such a tough call - my FH and I sat down with our budgets over the weekend, and it's all adding up so incredibly fast!! I want to give everyone decent tips, but don't want to overtip either.
I'll have to think about it some more....
