How much did you/do you have budgeted to tip your band? I don't want to say how much we are spending on the band its self but each member is getting $500 from the gig. Help!

i plan on giving each band like $50 probably
there are 8 members and we're paying A LOT for them already

I was figuring like 50 to 100 a member but with a nine piece band it adds up. I have no idea what to tip anyone that night
How about fh and I didn't even include tippng in our budget [oops]

I've done a lot of research and you don't have to tip the band - I certainly didnt. I spent SO much $$ on them that I honestly didn't feel the need to tip them. Its just not necessary and they don't expect it. You can do whatever you feel comfortable with, but I am telling you that many many people told me that they didn't tip the band so I scratched it off my list. Just my advice.

we had a 12 piece band, and were originally planning to tip $300 (25 per person). but they ended up being so freaking amazing, we gave them $400.

I gave them 20 a person for an 8 piece band. I inquired with the company prior to the wedding and they said it was totally optional, that some people do and some don't and that it was totally up to me, but that I shouldn't feel like I had to tip them.
