When everyone went to the reception halls to get quotes, did the BM say that you had to tip the maitre'd/bridal attendant?? The CB suggest $3-$5 per guest which if calculated is about $600.....um who else is tipping??

Isn't that the maitre'd fee? i know at clm there was a fee added on so do i still have to give additional to that fee?

When I went looking at halls some halls had told me that their was a flat fee for the bridal attendant that you must pay. My question to them was what if she doesn't do her job right and I paid her already. I would be PISSED!! beyond belief. I don't think it's right to be a price tag on how much you should pay them. They should be up to the bride. They need to take it out of the fee that we are paying to the venue.

I thought the MOH is supposed to do like fluffing your dress or what not. I may be wrong though...I dont know the actual duties of a bridal attendant. i was always under the impression that a BM or MOH is the one who makes sure everything is ok in the bridal suite at the house etc.
Someone educate me on this

yes you have to pay the matra dee fee.. but you need to tip as well

Some bridal attendants and maitre'ds do stuff that's weird to me... at my friend's wedding at jericho terrace she (the bride) said she had to go to the bathroomand someone needed to help. My natural response was that I would go and help her. Her maitre'd nearly knocked me out! She was like, NO, I HELP. Call me strange, but no one and I mean no one, is coming into the bathroom with me. Thank you very much. Is bathroom duty the responsibility of a bridal attendant or maitre'd because if so I dont want one!
