Re: tipping vendors
My DOC sent me this cheat sheet for tipping.
Here is a quick breakdown:
Wedding Planner - They don't except at tip - but if they go above and beyond you can always offer a token of appreciation. Up to 500 or a nice gift.
Hair and Make Up: 15-20% -- 25% if they went above and beyond for your wedding day.
Wedding Set-Up Staff (delivering wedding cake, flowers, sound system, tents, chairs, etc): $5-10 per person
Wedding Ceremony Officiant: Donate $4-500 to the church or synagogue, or for non-denominational officant, an optional tip of $50-100.
Wedding Ceremony Musicians: $15-20 per musician
Wedding Photographer/Videographer: Not expected if they own the company but optional $50-200 per vendor.
Wedding Reception Staff: $200-300 for the maitre d'; $75.00 to on site coordinator.
Wedding Reception Attendants: $20-25 per bartender; $1 per guest for coatroom and $1 per car for parking attendants.
Wedding Reception Band or DJ: $20-25 per musician; $50-150 for DJs
