TIPPING-Whats Customary?

TIPPING-Whats Customary?

Hi Everyone,

My wedding is next year @ the watermill and they provide an assistant and matre D during the reception. Since reception halls already have a gratuity added to the total price, is it customary to tip individuals? For example, the bridal assistant, valet parkers, bathroom attendant (if there is one).

In addition, is it customary to tip DJ's, and the florists?

Thanks
Natalie

It is really up to you to decide whthere or not to tip anyone, if they provided you with exceptional service then i would say yes. But you have already paid them for their service. For me i am not tipping my florist, DJ or photographer but that's just me, i am providing them dinner and that is about it. I will probably tip the maitre'd, valet attendants and bridal assistant but it all depends on the service that they provide me. please do not let anyone make you feel that you have to tip anyone.
