TIPS??

Do you have to tip the maitre'd ON TOP of the 20% gratuity? If so, how much? Also, for the limos the 20% gratuity is already added in the original bill---do we have to give an extra tip, and if so, how much? thanks!

What we did...

The maitre'd's tip was not included in our contact so he was tipped separately. We gave $3.00 per guest. I had read that you tip based on what sort of job they did. Not great $1.00 per guest, good job $2.00 per guest, outstanding $3.00 per guest. For the limo if the gratuity is included you do not have to tip. However, if the driver goes above and beyond and does an outstanding job, you might want to give something extra.

What about tipping the Band and any other vendor? *NM*

This is a tough call what we did was make up thank you cards for all the vendors the day before and put in the money we wanted to give provided they serviced us well on our happy day. The day of the wedding my husband gave them out. We were happy with all except our photographer who left without saying goodbye so we took some of he money we were going to tip him and gave additional to the limo driver who was outstanding.

TIPS?? What we did

We tipped our maitre'd approx $2.50 per person, the captian $100 and the bridal assistant $100. All the other staff at Watermill were covered by the 15% tip included in our contract. Since you are paying 20% I would ask the catering manager what is customary at their establishment. For the Limos, the tip was included in the price so we only tipped the driver that brought us to the hotel at the end of the night. We tipped our band members $25.00 each but they did not get a meal since they started at 9:00pm. I hope this helps

TIPS??

i tipped the maitre d 600$ extra because he was GREAT. I gave my bridal attendant 300$ because she was even GREATER!! . I was told the maitre d was approx. 3$ a head for each guest and the bridal attendant gets a flat 150-200$. Limos are included! Have a great time. Enjoy it it truly goes way to fast!
