Okay so I have been told by a few people and past brides that you don't usually tip the photographer/videographer and mc/dj? They said that the price that you pay for them is enough and it is not necessary to tip them. I find this kinda strange? Does anyone agree? Times are tough and with our wedding this friday we are down to our last pennies!!!! I would love to cut back where we can but I don't want to be rude and not tip. But I do not want to unless it is expected. Any thoughts

Re: TIPS
I've heard that you do not need to tip the photo/videographer and mc/dj if they own the business. Sorry I'm not much help. Best wishes on your big day this Friday. =)

Re: TIPS
FH used to work for a DJ company so i just asked him this...he said it was very common to tip...not necessary, but he rarely left a party without getting a tip...he said that tips varied depending on the party each guy would get roughly $25.
IMO, I tip based on how well someone provides me with a service, If I feel that a tip is warranted then its given. I plan on having a little extra money put aside to tip at the end of the night, but nothing crazy... I mean we will give what we are able to give!

Re: TIPS
I think the only reason that you should NOT tip is if the photo/video or the MC/DJ owned the company. Otherwise it is customary to give a tip.

Re: TIPS
We are expected to tip our wedding band 20% (they state it on our contract!!!!!!) which is an INSANE amount of money, especially since they're getting THOUSANDS in cash the day of the wedding.
As for the photogs, I was already anticipating giving them 20% gratuity since they do not own the company.
when does it all end????

Re: TIPS
I need to figure out all this tip stuff. I think there is a tip suggestions post but it's so old. Does anyone know of a more recent one?
I have a tip question - if my hair price includes extensions do I tip 20% of the entire price? That's insane, no? That's like almost a hundred bucks just for the tip.
