I know this topic keeps coming up...I noticed on the knot that it says the Maitre D gets tipped $200-$300 however, my hall says 3-4 bucks a person which is almost 800 bucks!! Does this seem right, is this another one of those NY thingsss???

i had 100 ppl. i tipped 300.. plus 50$ each BA. they write down something like 375-450 and CIRCLED IT on my menu sheet. im like yea NO

$375. We had less than 125 people. We tipped 3 bucks a head. Whatever. The recommended was 2-4 per person and we went straight up the middle.

I've heard $2-$3 a person which is like $600-$1000 for us
