I am getting my flowers through Stop and Shop, really cheap.
I am also doing potted flowers as my centerpiece.
All of my flowers should be less that $1000.00ETA- I have 6 BMs, 5 GM, 1 MOB, 1 MOG, 1 FOB, 1 FOG, approx. 18 tables with potted orchids, a lily of the valley bok for me, and clouds of baby's breath for pew baskets.

We are not decorating the church. We will only be in there for 30 minutes and it's pretty enough.

That may save you some $$$.

I am also thinking of asking the florist to make all of our bo-k's smaller because the sample one was soooooooo heavy.

I'm having a big wedding and a big bridal party too...
you can do flowers, just don't do expensive high CPs.

Designs by Rose will work with you and give you a good price..

One way, possibly, is to use candles and rose petals (silk or otherwise) for centerpieces...you could also make your own bouquet by ordering through a wholesaler who sales to the public....i would practice first. also, there's an online wholesaler with some great packages....(wholesale florist
...i thought about using them until i realized i'm not such a great DIYer.

we are using candles and silk rose petals...it looks really romantic and sweet.

Does your florist charge accordingly to the flower type? If so, switch to a 'cheaper' type of flower - like roses....

If you're having high CP's, try alternating high w/low's....

It's honestly tough to cut down on florist costs, unless you find another florist that charges less.

Roses are the 'less expensive' flower, don't use flowers to decorate the church, use bows instead. Low CP are usually less expensive, use more candles instead of flowers, use flowers that are 'in season' Compare shop. See at least 5 florist and see who gives you the best deal. Smaller bo-ks for you and BP. HTH.

i cut out church decorations (im just going to get mums from the local nursery), making my own flower girl basket, simpler boks for the girls (or smaller)......basically is once I found the florist i wanted to use, I let them now my budget to see if they could make suggestions to get within that budget.

I heard a big tip insaving money with flowers... One take the flowers that you use for the ceremony with you to reception. Why waste them and you could always use them to decorate something.
Two stay with in season flowers. Roses are good.
Three Mums are good too. I'm making my BM Bo-ks out of mums mostly each one will get a nonmum flower in each bo-k. Like a mini sunflower, rose , gerbie daisy etc...Try sams club, they have GREAT deals!
Four you can make a lovely CP with $10 worth of materals from AC Moore. Like candles, and glass bowls. I've seeen some beautiful thing.

Hi,
We are saving money by purchasing large hurricane glasses with candles. This is a dramatic center peice. Then we are surrounding it with 3 small arrangements of hydrangeas. It looks beautiful, elegants, dramatic and each table costs around $50.00. Our florist gave us a great price. I then splurged on the other flowers (i,e, bo-ks)
