Has anyone purchased or thought about purchasing a Titanium Band? I read up that Platinum scratches easily, and gold is softer and often bends. For a man's band, sometimes Titanium is better because it won't scratch or bend, it's a harder metal.
Anyone know anything about it? Fi is a field tech, and I think this would be a better option for him.

Re: Titanium Bands
A friend of mine got a titanium e-ring. It was really pretty but the metal didn't shine much and it looked tough. I think it would be very nice for a man's band, but not for a woman. JMO!

Re: Titanium Bands
I LOVE titanium bands!! I think they are fabulous.. FH was thinking about getting either another band in either titanium or stainless steel .. there's a little boutique called Tevo in Soho.. they have gorgeous bands!! they advertise in alot of the wedding magazines too..
I think they have a site..
www.tevo.com
try that,.
edited to say that they don't tarnish or scratch like plat does..

Re: Titanium Bands
I got DH one as a 'work ring' since he was afraid to ruin his platinum band at work. It's not as shiny as plat, but it looks really good. I ordered it from a company online that had lots of designs that are attractive yet masculine. It also wasn't too expensive (since this was a back up ring I didnt want to spend a fortune)
Edited to say - I was able to get it engraved too.
My DH has a titanium band. It is really nice. It is made not to scratch and it is very sturdy. I was a little upset becasue I wanted to have it engraved and they can't engrave it because it is made not to scratch. I think they are nicer for a man than a woman. JMO

Nope, not for me, just for him! I have mine already. I just know that if we get anything 'too nice', he'll ruin it. Maybe I will get him a good platinum one, and then the titanium one for work.

Re: Titanium Bands
They are more affordable b/c the metal is not costly. It has a dull gun metal grey look. But it is a beautiful ring.

Re: Titanium Bands
No, actually my wedding band is a little loose. I have to get it resized. I bought it online at Jewelry from Italy
If I had thought about buying him teh titanium one early, I would have spent more on my own ring!!!! I might still get him either a white gold or platinum 'good ring' as well a work one.

Re: Titanium Bands
FH got a TItanium ring but he has 18K gold on the rim on each side to 'dress' it up. It looks so nice. He liked the fact that it won't scratch, too. But a great choice.

Re: Titanium Bands
Shamma...my FH got the same ring. His is in white gold.
FYI...Titanium rings can be very dangerous...you cannot cut them off it emergency situations...I know its hard to think about...but this does happen!! (and weight gain...lol)
while DH loves his titanium watch...we opted out for the ring...for safety reasons...

Re: Titanium Bands
I had also bought my DH a titanium wedding band on eweddingbands.com. It was so pretty- had that hammered look- really nice- they engraved it & everything. But when we moved it got lost (2 weeks before the wedding) and I bought him another band (white gold) from a jeweler... I recommend eweddingbands- it was only $197 and it was nice!
