FH wants a Celtic wedding band (with the knots or whatever) I just found a website that sells Titanium bands, and the price is GREAT!
Anyone have any experience with Titanium jewelry?

Re: Titanium Wedding Band
FH wanted a Titanium ring, but when we went looking, none of the jewelers carried them. After the 4th one, I figured there must be a reason so I asked. The jeweler said that when they go to size it, it basically warps. The quality is horrible. I don't know how tru this is, if at all, but if none of the jewelers I went to carried it, I would assume there's some validity to them not being of the best quality.

My DH has a titanium band. Its really light and has more of an 'industrial' looks. He loves it.

Re: Titanium Wedding Band
FH is telling me to get the Titanium- he really wants it. Biggest selling point for him- it doesn't get scratched b/c the metal is so tough

i got a similar response from jeweler. although they did carry them my jeweler said they will not size them due to the fact that the material does not hold up. so if ur FH never plans on losing or gaining weight ur ok...lol.

Re: Titanium Wedding Band
Titanium is a very hard metal and it will not get all banged up, however it cannot be resized!! Also if your hand is ever injured, the titanium will not bend at all so it would be completely destroyed to have it removed!! FH is a jewler and he does not reccomend titanium at all, HTH!!

Re: Titanium Wedding Band
my FH really like the look of the titanium but hated that they were so light -- almost too light. He wants to go with a Tungsten ring, another one that is scratch proof but has more weight to it.

Re: Titanium Wedding Band
Both titanium and tungsten are great in that they don't scratch but you can't insert diamonds into either ring and you can't re-size either ring. So if FH gains or loses weight you have to buy a new one.

Re: Titanium Wedding Band
actually our jeweler showed us rings that are Tungsten with a platinum insert that will hold a diamond. I really liked them too -- but as it is FH doens't wear any sort of jewelry besides a watch so I was happy he found a plan ring he liked.
he always used to tease me he'd get a ring tattooed on his finger cause he doesn't care for jewelry. I wasn't too thrilled with that idea but he thought it was a great idea since he could never take it off
