SO i set it up and i program it to record what i want and then i find out I can not record one channel and tape another with out some splitter thing.. You would think for the 250 for the box and then the 12.95 a month that would have been included.. so now i have to go out and by this piece this weekend!

I had the same problem when I first got TIVO. But once you get everything figured out it is worth it. I love it now.

can you record two channels at the same time on tivo? we are thinking about getting it

Yup!! We had to go buy the splitter. You can tape two things at one time with the TIVO.

DirectTv came to install ours because it needed the second cable line.
