TLC's--A Wedding Story!!

Do you girls think I'm nuts?? I want to be on A Wedding Story!! I love the show so much....Is anyone with me on this?? If anyone has been on it or knows someone who has give me some info please!!!

A recent bride on the board will be featured on A Wedding Story. I can't remember who but do a search. She got married at Jericho Terrace and had problems with the hall.

I'm also fanatic about that show!! When I was off during the summer I used to watch 3 & 3:30 ... then my FH would call @ some point and I would be CRYING - since I almost always was!!! He said I was addicted!

They called for new brides recently, but FH would kill me!!!! You should go for it & let us know how it goes

Be very careful of this.....they can 'take over' your wedding and turn it into something you dont want.

i love watching the show as well...but definitely wouldn't want someone to take over MY wedding!

Thanks girls for your opinions...Now that I think of it you are right it probably would take over the wedding. I also wouldn't want the camera crews and such to take away from my wedding. It might be too stressful and overbearing. I think my FH would kill me too LOL...It was just a thought and you never know!!!

I'm the bride that will be featured on A Wedding Story.' We still don't know when it will air yet...I promise to let you all know, probably in January. I have to say that it was a very enjoyable experience. They in no way took over our wedding. I loved it, it made me feel even more like a princess or movie star on that day! Actually for 3 days! It was great! They are definately constantly there w/you, but I never felt overwhelmed or bothered by them at all! I would definately tell you to go for it! It's something We'll have forever! They pick 40 couples per season out of tens of thousands of applicants, so I felt honored!

Oh thats so great....Now I'm undecided again LOL!! Def let us know when it airs please! I guess we can always apply, whos to say we will even get chosen Where was your reception?? Everytime I see a bride on the show from Long Island (which isn't often) I get excited and hope their reception is somewhere I have been so I can scream at the TV--'I've been there!' I'm so CHEESY Can't wait to see it aired!!

I was in a wedding that was on Wedding Story. My friend was a contest winner, she was Bridal Guide's Bride of the year last year. The TLC people were very nice and did not take over at all. I hate cameras and initially ran from them but it really wasn't bad. They captured the day as it was for the most part. A couple of times things were a little staged but nothing major-asking people to repeat a comment or do something over so they could catch it. It didn't take anything away from the day at all. I think you should go for it, the worst that can happen is they don't pick you.

I love theat show!!! I have off on Wednesday and I watch it at 10am EVERY WEDNESDAY!! I could never apply though FH would seriously KILL ME!!!!! He's scared enough already to be the focus of attention, he doesn't even like when I joke about it ( and I always do )
