TNWR: Monthly LIRR commuters - I have a ticket question
Re: TNWR: Monthly LIRR commuters - I have a ticket question
I don't take the LIRR but they do something through at my job that saves us a little bit of money on the metrocards (or the ticket for LIRR) is sent directly to you in the mail. I like the system so much better because I never have to worry about buying my metrocard. It's taken out of our paycheck pre-tax.

FH's business does this. It saves him almost $75 bucks since its pre-taxed (at least thats what he tells me). In these times, every penny helps! I have to set it up for myself, but never get around to it
Re: TNWR: Monthly LIRR commuters - I have a ticket question
i don't do it but i should. well i don't do it b/c i have an etrac CC to buy on those ticket machines and i don't know how i would pay for it if i did the mail and ride. i would do it just for pure convinience
Re: TNWR: Monthly LIRR commuters - I have a ticket question
i do it... not sure if it's worth it, but it's definitely less of a hassle. i never have to wait in line to buy a ticket!
Re: TNWR: Monthly LIRR commuters - I have a ticket question
I do it. It's like chump change when you think about it but better your money then theirs. Its also hassel free and you can always stop them from coming if you don't need it for a month or two.
