To all my long island buddys: stay safe and warm this weekend!

I hope that everyone stays safe and warm up on LI. We're getting snow here in VA too, but only 3-6 inches (though - schools will still probably be off until wednesday cuz they can't handle snow down here).

Anyways - I'll be here to keep ya'll company while you're stuck inside - and I'm not doing the work that I'm supposed to

You're the sweetest...and I know what you mean about not being able to handle snow down there. Two inches fell in Georgia a few years back and the airport closed! I was 'snowed' in, I thought it was the most ridiculous thing ever!

Is it snowing in NY? If not, when is it coming? I checked the weather channel but they didn't say anything about snow.

thanks, deb i will be working in the emergency room, which i am hoping will be very quiet due to the storm.

got a call from north carolina yesterday - apparently they had 1 inch of snow and the whole durham area shut down. kids had to sleep in school overnight!!

I didn't realize ya'll were getting it too! You keep warm and stay safe as well!

LP - i would totally help you shovel if i could get out of my apartments - you see, it's a sport down here watching cars try to get up the unplowed roads. Students actually get bundled up, get some sort of alcohol, and laugh as cars try to get up the hills.

Deb, not sure where you are in VA, but it's pretty bad here in Arlington....FI and I got stuck on a hill in the snow!!!

It is snowing here. I was running errands when it started. Being on the road an hour after the snow started was already bad. It's ugly out. Stay safe and warm, ladies! Deb, you too

I think you all should fly at here until April!!! It was 80 yesterday. Anyone up for a LA trip to see me????
