To all past brides...

Help us brides to be- what is your best piece of advice for us, or if you could change one thing, what would it be?

Real life, practical stuff. (I mean besides make sure you enjoy it)

Don't worry about the little details, they really don't matter. Enjoy yourself, make sure you eat and dance. You should enjoy your party as much as the guests. And take pictures with the pepole who mean the most to you. The photographer will not know who is special to you so you have to point them out. Make a list before so you don't forget.

I was happy with just about everything so I really wouldn't change much.

CHERISH THE MOMENT WHEN YOU ARE WALKED DOWN THE AISLE! I was so caught up in seeing everyone there, I was looking around and smiling at everyone and nodding, etc. I never once looked at my dad next to me, and we are very very close. In the video, you see him looking over at me and I have my head turned smiling at someone else. I will always regret that, and I won't even watch that part of the video.
On a less serious note, don't have a receiving line, they take way too much valuable time....and especially don't do one if it's raining.
Meet the person who will be photographing your wedding personally and make sure you click - do not skimp on your pictures at all - you will not regret it.

I wouldn't have eaten so much the week before (after the final fitting) my dress was so tight it was hard to eat and sit down...

I wouldn't have used the hotel that we did

the best piece of advise came from Bill from Wild Rose...he told me to remember that I hired professionals who do weddings all the time and know what to do...that everything was out of my hands and into the professionals...so just enjoy the day...

I would have told my DJ to STOP THE MUSIC!!!

before I danced with my dad, I was supposed to read him a poem...anyway the music started and I didn't tell the DJ to stop the music so i can read my poem.

I can never change this, if only I would have opened my mouth

Dont let anything small that day bother you. You are marrying the love of your life!!

I would have changed into slippers or sneakers after the ceremony. My feet were KILLING me for days after the wedding!

I also would have checked the way the bridal attendant at my hall bustled my dress. I didn't even look in the mirror when she did it, and it turned out to be done slightly wrong. I'm the only one who noticed, but still, it bugs me when I look at the pictures!

Despite the little things, it was still the most amazing day ever!!!

I would have changed my hair and makeup. And voiced more opinions/given more direction to the photographer while taking pics.

not much else really.

edited to say: nothing bothered me that day, I was so happy that I didn't care that my hair was all wrong, etc. But when I look at pictures, now I care.

i can't think of a thing i'd change. HOWEVER, i would advise to dance with your DH/dad/brother/mother/sister and cherish it.

don't worry about the details. who cares? the day is here, enjoy it.

remember to spend time with your DH. all eyes are on you, and your eyes should be on him.
