To all you Hawaiian Honeymooners...

To all you Hawaiian Honeymooners...

We've decided that's where we want to go as well. I've been reading through the threads, which are all very helpful. Is anyone planning on stopping in Las Vegas? That's what we were thinking of doing. Also, did anyone go through a travel agent or is it easier to do it all yourself?
Thanks in advance ladies.

We are not honeymooning there however FH's parents live in HI. When we visited the last time we stopped at Seattle but I think Vegas is a great place to stop and have a day or so lay over (have fun) and then off the HI. I am not sure about going through an agency- we stayed with his parents and only did some touristy stuff. I would say going through an agenc is a good idea b/c they couild probably hook you up will good deals and packages and stuff!!

we are going to HI but we did it all ourselves. we got our tickets from our miles, so we booked that ourselves. the hotels we booked bc of reputation from previous honeymooners. we'll go through the concierge when we get there for booking activities that FH is researching before we get there.

We are going to HW on our honeymoon too - I used a travel agent (a good family friend) who booked our hotels and car rentals (she got beter prices than we did when we called on our own) but my FI and I are booking airfare seperate- our travel agent did the best she could with airfares but it was still $300 cheaper to do it ourselves.

We booked our trip ourselves. Our airfare was done with miles. The Hawaii cruise we booked with a cruise broker. The hotel stay in Honolulu before the cruise, we booked directly with Halekulani. The hotel stay in Kauai after the cruise, we booked with our friend who works at the Hyatt Kauai.
I would love to stop at Vegas but FH said 2 weeks in Hawaii is enough.

We booked through a travel agent. It turned out cheaper for us. We did online pricing and 3 travel agents and got the best through Liberty Travel. We're going to stop in Los Angeles first, then Kauai and then Maui.

I am going to Vegas and Hawaii in August. We went through Liberty Travel and got a great deal $2020 per person. 2 nights at the Venetian, and 7 nights 8 days at the Kea Lani in Maui, airfare, transfers, and a rental car in Maui.
