I wanted to get cocktail napkins , coasters and matches made up for the wedding...not a ton just for the bar.....my mom says its pointless ....help

i was going to do the same - it's a nice touch....
i'd say it's up to your budget. Leave it as one of the last things & if you have the room - do it.
Most people won't remember the napkins...but if you have your heart set on it - enough will notice :)
Totally a budget cut for us...but i would've liked to have done it!

ohhhhhhhh i love that stuff too! i think it makes a wedding personal buuuutttt i am only getting it if i stick to my budget and dont go over (by much lol)

I'm doing napkins and maybe coasters as favors but not for the bar... I dont think people are going to notice.. maybe put them on the table?

That's a tough one..... I keep going back and forth with this all the time... I think it's a nice touch but then when you think about it, are people actually going to use your matches ever again. IDK??? I think that my FH and I are going to get the personalized napkins for the bar......As far as it being pointless, I think that's just a personal choice... some girls will say absolutely get them done and some will say it's a waist of money but I guess you could say that about cry packs, chair covers, aisle runners, monogram cake toppers, ect...none of it is a necessity but most brides want it, LOL!!!! Damn if you do, Dawn if you don't.

if you want them, i say why not - as long as they fit in the budget.
i have always wanted to do matches for some reason.... so i will.... not as favors, but put them at the bar too... i will stash some beforehand for myself as keepsakes

I wanted to also but feel like its sooooooooooo 1990s I want to do cocktail napkins for CH but kinda pointless bec my hall has nice napkins as well. I wanted to do matches for the cigars but Im not sure

I am going to do it. I won't go overboard or spend a ton, but I think most people will notice. I wouldn't do it if it was expensive, but they really aren't.
Here's what my Mom tells me (although I'm the one paying) - If it makes you happy, it's your Day, do it!

I think that I'll just get napkins for the bar, and maybe some matches - but I'm not going to go crazy. Just enough to add a little touch.

If you can get it all for $100 and it'll make you happy - then by all means - go for it! But again though - I would leave it as my last thing to buy...you never know when something may pop up and you're kicking yourself for spending that 100 on that....

i agree with the others and see if it fits your budget and if you really want it then why not...though i've never seen coasters - that could be cool; i always like matches because people use them. napkins are pointless IMO
