By the time we get married most of our family and friends will be either married, engaged, or in serious relationships.
And I kind of feel it's a waste of time.
What do you ladies think?

I think we are going to do a boK toss. But not the garter toss.

Re: To Do or Not To Do...
We are going to do something a little bit different instead of the bouquet/garter toss... it's an anniversary dance. The DJ will ask all of the married couples to go out to the dance floor (we are using my parents wedding song). Then the DJ will ask everyone who has been married for 1 year or less to sit down, then 5 years, then 10, etc. Until there is only one couple left on the floor. Then I will give that woman my bouquet and the DJ will ask them if they have any words of wisdom for the newly weds. I know that it sounds a little complicated. But I think that it is a great twist to an old tradition.

We're doing it but it's completely not necessary. I understand that it's outdated and puts the 'single' people on the spot, but it's tradition and I know people will be asking for it at my wedding, so we'll just do it.

The anniversary dance is a great Idea! However, The Bouquet toss is a lot of Fun! At the last wedding I went to i actually caught the Bouquet and now i'm engaged! So i am def. going to keep the tradition alive.

We are probably doing the anniversary dance also. We have a lot of already engaged/married friends as well.

I think I love this idea! I didn't really want to do the garter/BoK toss. I'm debating whether I think it's cheesey or not (for the record..anyone who is doing it, i'm not calling you cheesey)

This is exactly what we´re doing. I was actually just talking to my mom about this. Three of my dad´s sisters will be at the wedding and although I hardly ever see them I love them. I know that one of them would be the 'winner' of this. The other two I´m going to ask to do readings. That way they´re all included!!
