So my girls finally picked a BM dress. Now we have to go for shoes. Do you guys think that I should have them get dyable shoes or just have them wear silver shoes? Are dyables expensive? What do you think would look better? This is the dress and color:
I always vote for not getting dyeables because if it rains the color will run all over the place. If you are getting in a limo with them, the last thing you would want on your dress is green dye. Just my opinion.

Re: To dye or not to dye?
I agree with the rain scenario..also..they can always reuse the silver shoes..but green ones? maybe not as often..

i think silver wouls look nice and if you are keeping the length like in the pic then you won't even really see the shoes ...

I would go with regular strappy sandals. I think that gold would look really nice with that shade of green, too.

Re: To dye or not to dye?
there was a horror story on here I think last year, where a bm's red dyed shoe touched the brides gown in the limo on a rainy day...BIG RED STAIN ON THE FRONT OF HER GOWN, WALKING DOWN THE AISLE & BEFORE PICS
I wouldn't even consider dyeables. not worth it.

in my opinion, dyable shoes are just dumb, especially with a floor length dress. There's really no point - silver or gold (or black or whatever, depending on the color of the dress) will look just as nice, will be something the girls can wear many times over, and won't rub dye all over everything if they get wet.
I can MAYBE understand it with tea length dresses (although, not really), but with floorlength where you'll barely see the shoes, it just makes no sense to me.

Re: To dye or not to dye?
I saw a funny picture of a shoe rack at the Salvation Army store--it was all obviously dyed bridesmaid shoes!
Get the silver shoes--or I think gold or even bronze would look better with that green. Grace has a great selection of metallic shoes, and I love their bronze, but they have plenty in gold and silver. Your BMs will thank you--you can always wear metallic shoes again, they look good with dresses, and look fantastic with jeans and a cute top. And they will be able to find a pair of shoes or sandals they really like, will really fit, and they'll wear again if you just say 'gold' or 'silver,' because so many shoe manufacturers make metallic shoes.

I would go with silver or gold shoes. I personally am not a fan of dyeing shoes. From my experiences it stains you feet.

I vote for metallic. They can use them again. What are the odds they'll wear green dress shoes again, right?

Re: To dye or not to dye?
I guess I am the minority but I say dyeables. My sister wore a burgundy dress (MOH) and she dyed her shoes. They were $65 including the dye AND including them dying them to black after the wedding so she could always wear them again. They looked gorgeous and really made her look complete. JMO
