To Give or Not to Give....

When we got our DJ package I added the option of 'party giveaways' (you know the straw hats, maracas, leis, sunglasses) But now I am having second thoughts because I feel like people just leave them on the table at the end of the night or throw them out.

Should I leave it or get the credit for something else like perimeter lighting?

I would get the credit. Im not having giveaways at my wedding because I think they are a waste, fun but,a waste. Thats just me.

I have been to soo many wedding without that stuff and we had a great time!!!

I would take the credit. I do not like the extra giveway. JMO I feel like it is kind of chessy for a wedding.

i've been to weddings w/ the party stuff and it was so much fun! it brought out the kids in all of us

The party stuff really is extra fun, it depends if you have the money or if you want to use it for something else.
I didnt get it but I know it would have added that extra fun

I got the giveaways, because my bro had them and everyone loved it, and you can customize what you want with our DJ and choose from like 500 things. We all saved the ones from bro's wedding, I still have them 13 years later!! It depends what you choose, but people won't always leave them behind (we're getting cool sunglasses for girls and guys, musical instruments like tambourines, etc., that aren't just throways).

But the lighting can be cool too, I would ask to see the selection of giveaways and a picture or video of the lighting, then choose.

Are they really expensive? Because if so, I'd change it for the perimeter lighting and then get those throw-a-ways from a place like Oriental Tradings yourself, for cheaper... then you get the best of both worlds!
