Have any ideas to make the wedding more fun for guests?
Are you adding anything extra? Having anything extra on your program besides the ceremony, cocktail hour, dances, dinner, slideshow, cake cutting???
Games? Activities? Scavenger hunt?

Re: To have a Fun Wedding
I think the major thing is that the BRIDE and GROOM are relaxed and having fun.. when guests see them having a great time, they will follow suit.

Re: To have a Fun Wedding
My FH and I are gonna do a swing dance, as a surprise for our guests. Hopefully we won't be laughed at too hard! Hehe!
Then we are doing some kinda centerpiece give away game, and my bridesmaids may just do something else, they love those kinda stuff!
We are probably not doing the garter toss or bo-k toss 'cus there are not enough single gals there... if there's more than 5, maybe. :)
I'm just wondering if we should get an MC to do that though. Our DJ may not be a ble to do both duties at the same time!
I usually think great food and dancing is not enough, and have always enjoyed when there's some form of entertainment for us at weddings. :D

Re: To have a Fun Wedding
I think the main key to a good wedding is the bride and groom having fun, lots of dancing, and a really good band. IMO, I would not schedule a lot of activities throughout because it breaks up the flow of the evening and you lose dance time.
However, one option I had considered but didn't have the money to do was rent a polaroid picture booth that people could take pictures in. I think the guests would like it, though it could distract them from the dance floor.

I am going to have a magician go from table to table (once around) during the beginning of the reception.

The best weddings I've been to were because of the crowd and dancing. But that's just me - I think of it as a big party! I never really remember the food, centerpieces, location ... or anything like that. I just remember if I had fun dancing and talking to everyone.

We did nothing extra and everyone, I mean everyone, had a great time. Just seeing that people were happy and excited made others...it's infectious.

I think it's all about the bride and groom having a good time. A fun and friendly family helps too! We are hoping our great band will help make our wedding extra fun.
We aren't doing anything extra, except that FH and I's cousins are Irish stepdancers so we are going to have them dance and will have a bagpiper as well. I think the few non-Irish people there will get a kick out of that!

We don't have a lot of single girls either... but i want to do the bouquet toss for fun. I may have the MC announce that it is for ALL women and the winner gets the bouquet and luck in their current relationship! :)

Re: To have a Fun Wedding
I had trumpeteers for most of the day (up thru the grand entrance to the reception) Guests were taking pics with them during the cocktail hour and just loved them! We also had a candy buffet. I never saw people run so fast to get candy! It was hilarious. DH and I were sitting at the dais laughing our @sses off because we had no clue people would be that excited over it! Lol.

I agree with you two, if you have a fun crowd and good music, everyone will have a good time and not remember what the favor was or what the centerpieces looked like. They won't be at their table long enough to notice!
