A year and a half ago FH and I were in Italy and we became close with two other couples who were on the same tour as us. For a while I kept in touch with both girls on FB or through email. One lives in DC and I've seen her a bunch of times since Italy. She's coming to my shower next weekend and has already said she's so excited about coming back up for the wedding. The other girl lives in Jersey and got engaged a few months after FH and I. She and I spoke over email but whenever it came to making plans she always had something else going on. But we would talk about wedding stuff but then the second I asked her for her address to send the invitation to once she sent it to me I never heard from her again. She's ignoring my and my DC friend's emails and FB messages and my sister sent her a shower invite and she never sent it back and I can't get her to respond to an email but there is no questions she's not coming... but do I bother inviting her to the wedding? I know she's has been on FB so she's getting my messages but she's ignoring the both of us. I feel like I'll send her an invite and she'll be one of those eternally missing RSVP cards.

i would absoutely not invite her to the wedding if she's ignoring your calls, emails, etc.
doesn't sound like she'd mind

Re: To invite or not to invite...
I wouldn't...but then again I'm a cold-hearted b!tch. I had an invite come back as return to sender because the couple had moved...but by that time they had gotten engaged. His fiance hates my guts and I knew they'd never come to the wedding...nor had he really answered any of the messages I sent him on FB or anything...so I didn't even bother sending it out again.
*****, but i guess that friendship is over.

Re: To invite or not to invite...
Ehhhh- I wouldn’t send one. Like you said, it’s going to be one of those last minutes no’s (probably) and then you’ll regret sending it.

Re: To invite or not to invite...
OOoo this is tough. I think you should make her a class B, that way you allow some time for her to possibly respond. Maybe it's something going on with her family? My cousins are on FB every now and again, but their mother is very ill and it doesn't look so good. I don't know about responding to emails, but I gather when they have some personal time, they don't do as much as they'd normally do.
I hope it's not family problems for her sake, but since you've pretty much kept in touch this long, I think class B is the way to go. IF there's still no response by the time you think you should mail her invitation, then she's out. No invite.
Good Luck!

Re: To invite or not to invite...
i agree with Becca. there could be issues going on and her not responding to you might not be personal. I would have the invitation addressed to her and then just see what happens in the next couple months before your invites go out. Maybe she will let you know whats going on....then you can decide whether to send it or not.

I definitely wouldn't send her an invite and if it were me I wouldn't even bother emailing her again. The next move is on her!
