No, it was not Kristen. Try to relax and keep telling yourself it will work out, that`s what I`m doing. Since my hair is naturally curly and I don`t really run a comb through it once I get out of the shower, I`m giving the excuse for the bad style on the comb constantly being run through my hair as it was being cut, causing it to dry fast and frizz - YUK!!
I am keeping my options open for the wedding day stylist. Salon Menage (sp?) is one I`m considering trying. I also have someone at the JC Penny salon in the South Shore Mall who did my hair for some formal parties nearly 10 years ago. And I would also consider Cactus as well.

Whew! Glad it wasn't Kristen who gave you the bad 'do. Thanks for the advice... I'm now repeating 'relax, it will work out' to myself and trying to actually DO it! If you find an awesome stylist, please let me know! : )

JennRenee,
I do like the haircut I received at Cactus. And hopefully in a few weeks I`ll be able to go for a trial. Is 4-5 months before the wedding too soon? Let me know when you go for your trial at Cactus, I`ll be interested to hear how that goes. Also, if you want the name of the lady who did my hair (in french twists) all those years ago, let me know. From the way I remember it, I was happy with it both times. I just want to try out some other options as well.

I think 4-5 months before the wedding for a hair trial would be ideal, since I waited until 3 months before, and now I'm having nightmares about looking like an Old English Sheepdog on my wedding day. If you have the time, I say do it now!
And yes, I'd like the name of your hairdresser. She's in Bayshore, right? That's a bit far for me, since I'll be getting ready at my mom's house in Centereach, but the more bad luck I'm having, the further west I'm searching.
I'll keep you posted on my Cactus appointment... it's next Friday, the 27th, so expect a report around then. : )

Her name is Linda A. and she`s at the JC Penney styling salon in the South Shore Mall on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore, (631) 968-5550. I don`t recall what their prices were, but I remember when I asked about it, I did think they were very, very reasonable. I`ll keep you posted on any appointments I make and how they go. And I`ll be looking forward to your updates!
