We are having our ceremony/reception in the same place..and opted to not rent a car since it would be a waste of money for us. However...now I am considering it..because there is a park next to our hall that we can take really nice pictures in. I didn't want all of our pictures to be at the hall (outside). Should we rent a limo or car to take pictures afterwards? Our bridal party is big..and I am just worried about spending unecssary money. HELP!

Re: TO LIMO OR NOT TO LIMO?
Ummm, that's a tough one. We have no bridal party and we chose an antique car, a '58 Bentley. It was under $500 if that helps. Just for the two of us....

Shop around and see if you can fit it into your budget. I did the limo because we have a pretty far drive from Queens into LI for pics at Westbury Gardens and then a drive to Leonards.

See that makes sense..but for us to rent a car when we are at the same location for both events...I'm just wondering if we should bother. I'm going to look into it though..defenitely! Is Leanords the place that was on an episode of Sopranos? I believe I passed it to go to Thomas Knoell when I went to order my tiara ..if that's the place...GORGEOUS!!

Honestly...
I wouldn't bother. You are going to have to pay for way more time than you actually use the limo. I believe most bridal packages are a 3 hour minimum, so what's the point of spending all that $$ for a quick trip.
Since you're having the ceremony and reception in the same place, it's not like anyone will see you getting into regular cars to go take pictures. I would just get someone with a big car to fit you in your dress...

Where are you getting dressed?? How big is the skirt on your dress? Will it fit into a regular car without getting completely wrinkled?
That alone might be reason to rent a town car, if not a limo, for you to get to the reception hall, and then use it to take you and FH/DH for pictures.

I didn't do a limo - we used the $$ to TOTALLY splurge on our rings since we'll have those FOREVER!!

Re: TO LIMO OR NOT TO LIMO?
I got a 33 passenger bus for BP and OOT guests, and an antique Rolls for me and FH to take us from the hotel where we're getting ready to RH hall (getting married at the hall). I debated this and thought I could save $ here, but couldn't help myself. A $350 picture prop? Maybe, but it will be fun.

My ceremony and reception are also at the same place....was thinking about getting a large limo to take myself and my girls and parents from the house to the place. FH and his men are getting ready at the place and will just drive themselves there. I had no idea there was a 3 hour minimum...can this be split up over the night...like can I use part of those 3 hours to get a car to take FH and I from our RH to our hotel that night???
My parents have a mini van - would I fit in there with my dress???...I guess I would.
