FH and I found an RH that is afforable for us... he likes it because of price...for me, i think its okay... I am crazy about our 1st visit at the hall I truly love. The difference between the two halls is $1,600.
FH thinks im indecisive about all the wedding plans but im really not .. i just rushed too my decisions w/o thinking them thru ( and he has admit that he is just as guilty)
anyhow, since we are in the process of changing halls... Should I just put an end to this and just book the affordable hall knowing where my heart truly resides (beside the FH.. ) or should i stand my ground and keep fighting for what we both fell in love with from day 1?
im just tired of the argumenting and i know stressing him out...
Update:: its going to be a $3,000 increase

I dont think you shoudl settle, especially with the RH. $1600 isn't too bad of a difference! Does FH like the hall you're in love with? If he doesnt, I would keep looking for something you BOTH are in love with. You have time!

Re: To Settle or Not To Settle....
If it were me, I would go with the hall I love... because I would always look back on it and wish I'd booked that hall, even if my wedding day were fantastic, I'd be saying 'It was fantastic but I still wish', you know?. If the difference were something like 5K, I might reconsider, but is $1600 doable for you? Cut back on other stuff? We booked our hall with the mutual agreement that we would sacrifice with other things, flowers, invites, my dress ( I don't want an expensive dress), so if you think it's doable through sacrifice, I'd do it. IT's worth the peace of mind
DO you not feel comfortable saying which halls they are? Maybe some reviews can help you make the decision? We looked at some halls that had great menus and grounds, but then their service reviews were not very good so we didn't want to risk a minor savings on having our day messed up... if that makes sense...

Honestly, for $1600, I'd go with the hall I loved and find a way to save $1600 elsewhere.

Re: To Settle or Not To Settle....
I think you should go for the hall you love, although, to apease FH, I might compromise on the room just so its an easier sell. Did you try haggling with the RH you love to see if you can get a better deal?
You may be able to cut the other costs by DIYing some things, cutting out albums for now and maybe cutting the flower budget.
edited for spelling.

Go with the hall you love!!!!!!!!!!! Could you tell the RH you want that you are in between 2 halls. See if they can match the price of the other hall... and tell the if they do you will book with them.
I would try it... you never know!

Don't settle... go with what you both really want. It's not a huges difference and it'll be worth it.

Re: To Settle or Not To Settle....
dont settle... trust me- i did I was in LOVE with Majestic Gardens.. but they were about $10-20/pp OVER what we could afford... and after going back and forth for 4 months the best they could do was a sunday afternoon in february.. meanwhile we wanted a saturday in october.
so we went to v.e..r.d.i's and i LOVE my room.. but i honestly don't like the CH room, the layout of the hall and the lack of scenery outside but they were in our price range so we booked them.
I kick myself everyday. and I cry everyday.
Just sit down and go over your budget again and see if you can find the $$ somewhere else. I wish I would have. (and in the end, it only would have cost us maybe $5-10 more at MG)

For $1600? Definitely do NOT settle, esp for the RH. I'm sure you can trim the $1600 off other aprts of the busget, or let's face it, you have over 22 months. You can probably save a big chunk of it by giving up starbucks and spacing your hair cuts.
I probably should not talk since our new hall is about $8K more than the old hall .

Re: To Settle or Not To Settle....
Cind, my honest opinion is to go for the hall that you love because that's where your whole day will be and you don't want to spend 5 hours somewhere that isn't your favorite place especially if it's only a difference of 1600. I'd skimp elsewhere and go with what you love!

Re: To Settle or Not To Settle....
go for the one you love. You can't re-do this and you do not want to have any credits. 1600 in the grand scheme of things is not a lot so I am sure you can settle in other areas but not for the hall.
