To sing or not to sing?? (POLL)

To sing or not to sing?? (POLL)

I am a fairly accomplished singer, and FH always complains that I don't sing to him. I am considering the idea of singing Etta James' 'At Last' to him at our wedding, but I'm concerned that it might come off as sort of self-serving, like I'm trying to hog the spotlight on a day that I should be sharing with my husband. I just can't decide what to do, so I need your feedback!!! What do you think I should do?

It's your wedding, singing to him would be putting you both in the spotlight! I think it's 'sweet & romantic'. My FH plays guitar & sings and I would LOVE it if he did that for me at the wedding!

It would be very nice, but if you're concerned about how it will look - do it at the rehearsal dinner! It will be just as romantic!!

I think you should sing to him...I am on the reverse....FH plays guitar and used to sing in bands.....but he never sings in front of me....so...he is going to sing and play a song me ......

Ahhhh....I think you should!!! That is so romantic. I would do it if I could sing. It is not 'self-serving', it is sweet and beautiful and a wonderful gift for your husband on the day of your wedding.

DO IT!!!! My brother sang to his wife at their wedding. Not a dry eye in the house. It makes your wedding unique.

If your FH will love it, I say you should ABSOLUTELY sing. My FH is a singer/songwriter and I would love it if he were to sing a song for me at the wedding. He won't, but that's another story.

It would be sweet and romantic - do it!

I recently saw video from a wedding my Inlaws went to and the Father of the Bride sang a song in Italian to his daughter after their dance and the bride was completely surprised and was in tears!

Just be prepared for the emotions to roll out and have some tissue ready, for when you sing to your FH!

My friend sang to his bride at their wedding and it was SOOOO sweet!!!!!!

You might want to make an arrangement maybe a minute shorter or so? I just say that because I dont like all eyes on me for too long. But I say definately do it!
