Re: To Tan or Not to Tan
Hey date twin, I dont like to go tanning either really but I'm pale And like the way I look when I'm tan. So I have been going once a week for 8 minutes for the last 3 weeks. I am not going anymore before the wedding, just a little something so I'm not ghostly.

Re: To Tan or Not to Tan
no i wanted to look like myself in my pics and everyone knows me as a pale person. even though my hubby tans naturally like nothing i've ever seen before i didnt bother with any fake tanning, in fact i stayed out of the sun for fear of tan lines and peeling skin. i dont regret it i wanted to look like me.

Re: To Tan or Not to Tan
I used to tan at Beach Bum, not a lot but quite a few times a week. It was so warm & cozy in those beds lol, but I know its not worth it. Maybe just one time before the wedding?

Maybe you can do airbrush tanning, that way it is even and you can get the color you desire...

Re: To Tan or Not to Tan
I went to get airbrushed a couple days before my wedding (I'm very pale- I don't tan, I freckle). I told the girl spraying me I didn't want it dark, something light that would look natural on me since I never really get tan anyway. Well, I got home and she sprayed me 3x darker than the nude underware I had on!! And she missed a HUGE spot on my arm, and you could tell how retarded I looked. Needless to say, I got in the shower and washed it off. Just beware whatever you do!

I did a spray tan for mine, it came out great and is safe. I highly recommend it

I am not a tanner, but I wanted some color for the wedding. Ended up just using bronzer for a sunkissed look and I loved it.

Re: To Tan or Not to Tan
I say no to bed but spray tan is ok ONLY if it's a light tan. nothing like 3 shades darker. i wanted to keep my skin color as close to natural looking in the pictures

I agree! I did a spray tan before my wedding and everyone was floored that it was a spray bc it didn't look like it! A close friend owns a tanning salon and does spray tanning so I went to her (trust her with my life).
If you want a tan, i would say, try this, but go to a reputable place where people you know have gone before so that you won't come out orange and go at least 4 days before the wedding so that it has time to settle.

Re: To Tan or Not to Tan
I did go tanning -you need to know what tanning bed to use and what lotion to use. DO not tan wihtout using lotion. I used bronzer (because I wanted a bronze look) they have lotions without bronzer. I would recommend 'HOT' they have both with and without bronzer. You can't start off with 12 mins (if you have fair skin please start with 6 mins) I would go 3 times a week for 2 or 3 weeks and I stopped. You have to gradually get your tan. I am def not a tanning expert but I did go to a high end salon to get 'schooled'

I say yes...IF you are not the type to burn. I just personally think a nice glow is flattering in pics. I hate pictures when I'm really pale!
I went three times before the wedding. I think that was perfect for a natural color

Re: To Tan or Not to Tan
Please don't tan in a booth, it's so bad for you. Do the custom airbrush tanning at Beach Bum- it's inexpensive and it comes out so naturally.
