To Those of You Still Looking...

Look closely at the walls. I mean REALLY closely.

You never know what you might find. What looks like paint may actually be paint over brown paper-bag type paper. Over wallpaper. Over more wallpaper.

It was a mess of epic proportions. We were able to strip one wall down to very funky faux-brick wallpaper. I wanted to spray 'Kilroy Was Here' on it.

One of the walls had all that stuff over dark brown paneling. Long live the seventies.

what were they thinking? focus on one task/room at a time and think of how beautiful the end result will soon be.

I dont mean to make light of your situation because I have there and it ***** (this is a good wrning) but they way you wrote this had me

Ohhh...we've been there! Actually we're still going through it!

We've been ripping each room down to the studs because the previous owners painted over their wallpaper with a textured paint.

We also had paneling...with no insulation behind it on the outside walls!

All you can do is take it one room at a time.
