Not so much. My biggest fear is paying rent hehe..because right now I live at home with my parents and dont pay any rent. But I will not be moving that far away from home..so I am not so nervous.

Why do you get nervous? Is there something specific about that that freaks you out?

I have never lived away from home. I am extremelu close to my parents. FH runs a restaurant so he works Tuesday-Sunday 10:00-8:30-9:00 I think I just get nervous about being alone. I am a scaredy cat
And may I say for the record I look at craigslst at apartments for rent and it baffles me that people expect anyone to pay money to live in these shitholes!!!!

Oh yes..I am scared of being left alone too. FH currently works till about 5:30pm and sat till 1pm..dont know what kind of job I will have..but I am pretty sure I will be home beofre him..and I do get a little scared being home alone. ..

ANd I compltely agree on the craiglist thing....they expect WAYYYY too much money for those crappy apartments..

I am more worried about the money with moving out. I am sure I will miss my parents. As long as all works out we will still be in the same town.

I'm actually in the process of moving out and it totally freaks me out. I went away for college but since I've been home for six years, I feel bad about leaving my mom at home by herself. She has been supportive and helping me move stuff over but I haven't done the real packing yet (and I'm only moving 15 minutes away). FH and I just lost a month's rent but now that he's going to be living there this week, I'm sure I'll be there a lot more often. It passes though. I know we'll be happier being able to see each other more often and setting up our apt.

Believe me, when I was looking for our apt, I wanted to tell the landlords to take their over-priced, run-down sh$tholes and shove it! It is amazing the lies they're wiling to tell on craigslist and then expect you to give them a third of your income.

Dont get too freaked. I always lived at home until I moved in with FH and I am the largest scaredy cat. I hear a noise and I freak out!
But once you live together after time you will get used to it and you will honestly enjoy a little time to yourself

You're not alone. I am really close to my family too and I am going to miss them! One of my good friends is from a close-knit family too and she told me that before her wedding, she and her sister would tear up at the thought of her moving out! I think it's great that you love your family so much....but don't be nervous! I just try to think of all the excitement of having our own place. You'll figure out the $$....I'm hoping I do!

Re: To those of you who live @ home

i left home when i was 17 to go to college and get away from my family! was on my own, then living with a guy, then on my own again, for 5 yrs.

i moved back to NY when I met my FH at 22 yrs old. i'm 27 now, and have spent the past 5 yrs. living in my parent's house. in about 2 wks i'll be packing up again and moving out, but this time for good! i'm excited cause i'll be able to live with my FH, FINALLY after all this time. but sometimes i feel a little overwhelmed by the idea of it.

it's okay to be a little nervous the first time you move away from home...and it's fine to go and visit your folks and spend time when your man is at work. but don't let it become a crutch. sometimes we just have to suuck it up and learn how to stay home alone and read a book....catch up on t.v....call a friend you haven't had time to talk to caues of wedding planning, etc.

i'll let you know how living together goes in a month! LOL
