Re: to veil or not to veil
I want to keep my veil on all night-it is the one and only time I will be able to wear one and I love my veil- Hopefully, it doesn't get annoying and start bothering me on the dancefloor!

VEIL!!! i was a no veil girl in the beg. then i found one i loved...best decision i ever made!!!! i was going to keep it on all night but it fell off at dinner so i just left it off... DH told me i wouldnt have looked the same without it, it completed the 'bride' look!

IF I wear one, then I will be only wearing it for the ceremony.

Re: to veil or not to veil
I got a very sheer single layer veil, so i will probably wear it all nite...or at least thru our first dance. (Don't mind how it's just shoved on my head in the pic..haha)
I will try to keep the veil on all night. Ideally I would like to have pictures of me cutting the cake with the veil on.

Re: to veil or not to veil
I personally don't like veils on me, but i promised my best friend that I would wear one for the ceremony only...
That puppy is coming off immediately after!!

Re: to veil or not to veil
I was always dead set against a veil. But when I was trying on dresses the woman put one on me and I looked like a bride!! To me it made a huge difference, even in the way I felt. So yes I'll be wearing one. I may take it off after the first dance-not sure.

Re: to veil or not to veil
I'm getting a sheer, single layer fingertip veil that's going to be attached to the back of my head. Mostly I'm getting it because I love the 'veil over the face' photos! I'll wear it for the ceremony, and if it bugs me, I'll take it off for the reception. It's not very expensive, I'm having Kathy from Occansey Designs make it for $62. Going to be very pretty, in light ivory, with a silver pencil edge, and little pearls (which matches my tiara, other jewelry, and gown) every 2' along the edge. Pretty and simple. I wasn't sure about wearing one, but, hey, I'm a bride, right? And brides wear veils.
My opinion is that if you're not sure, get an inexpensive one, and then you can wear it or not, and it won't be like you wasted a lot if you decide you don't want it.

I'm pretty sure that's what I'm doing, too.

Re: to veil or not to veil
I don't think i'm wearing one - just a tiara that i got from my grandma before she passed. I just don't like the symbolism of the veil or the way it looks on me.

Re: to veil or not to veil
I wore a cathedral veil with a blusher for the ceremoney and then I took off the long veil and kept the blusher towards the back all night. XOXOXO Kitty

Re: to veil or not to veil
I was going to get an inexpensive one and just wer it for the ceremony, but I found one I love so much I want to wear it all night. Like some of the above posters said, I beleive it complete's the look. It's a 2 tier fingertip and will be put in the back of my head, so it doesn't lay on the sides of my face. Also, I went to a wedding this past weekend where the bride has a cathedral length veil, wore it for the ceremony, not for the CH (she wore a short jacket), and then had it bustled for the reception. It was great, she had 3 different looks. She was comfortable and feels she got her money's worth!
