I definitely don't think you need a veil. I'm wearing one, but I would've been just as happy (and bridely) without one!

I am not wearing a veil! I hate them on me. I am getting grief from everyone but too bad for them.

My girlfriend that is getting married is in the same boat, she fell in love with a birdcage veil though...

have you checked them out at all? It'll add some contrast and cool elements to the overall look. Hers incorporates feathers and pearls and some big chunky stones... very very cute and she's able to pull it back and tuck it under so it just looks like a big fabulous hair piece for the reception.

If you want to completely opt out of one though that's up to you, you're going to make a beautiful bride regardless so don't put too much thought into what others may think of you :)

I am not wearing a veil. I have also been told I wont look like a bride. But I feel that it is going to be pretty obvious I am the bride. I will be the one saying the vows and dancing with the groom. We have a baby and have been together for 10 years. I kind of fell silly with the veil, he has already seen me:)

I was very anti-veil until I put on a huge long plain one at Barrons. No blusher, just a single layer jobbie. I loved it and it was fun wearing down the aisle. Just a thought..you might change your mind! However don't be pressured by anyone, the most important thing is to be comfortable (and YOU) on your day!

It's your wedding! You can do whatever you want, regardless of the veil the dress and whatnot - everyone will be there celebrating you and your union. Everyone has different traditions and visions; a veil does not make you a 'bride.' Nothing takes away from the fact that you are getting married and it is your wedding day thus you are the bride!!! Do what makes you comfortable.

Edit: spell-check
