To Veil or Not To Veil ... at the Reception?
Are you taking it off or leaving it on? I always thought I'd take it off, but now people are saying its the only time you'll ever wear it, everyone will know exactly where the bride is, etc...

Re: To Veil or Not To Veil ... at the Reception?
I took mine off, and am very happy I did. I had an elaborate hairstyle with hair pins, a poofy white dress, and a smile from ear to ear -- there was absolutely no problem finding me in the crowd, and the photos look very bridal. I felt much more comfortable, and it made hugging a much gentler process. You really can't go wrong, so do what makes you happy!

Re: To Veil or Not To Veil ... at the Reception?
I am going to take the veil off after the first dance. I am using the decorated hair pins also, and I think I would feel more comfortable w/o the veil all night. That is just how I would feel, but I know this has been brought up before a lot of other brides are keeping it on for the whole day

Well my veil goes down to the floor, so I will definately be taking it off at the reception. But even if it was shorter I think I would still take it off...I think people will always know where the bride is even if she doesn't have her veil on...you know the one with the big white dress (LOL).

DecBride - you solved my problem!I never thought about taking it off after the 1st dance. I love it! See, that's why I love this board. That's the easiest decision I've made all week! Thanks girls.

Re: To Veil or Not To Veil ... at the Reception?
My veil detaches from the headpiece (goes in the back) so I can keep the headpiece on. Kinda cool...

I will probably wear mine throughout the reception. I'm planning on just having the backpiece.Welcome New Vendors
