TOAST

So I'm the MOH in my BFF's wedding on May 5th and I have to make a TOAST! AHHH
I made one at their engagement party and that was fine cause it was really funny and I was SUPER drunk!!! (So was everyone else!)
I'm just so nervous, the wedding will be a LOT more people! I don't know how long I should make it or if I should be FUNNY...SERIOUS? I don't know!
But I for sure have to start writing it...it's going to be here before I know it!

AND...do I make a toast at the bridal shower???
I'm SO bad at this stuff!!!

When I was a MOH, I was TERRIFIED of making a toast. I kept my speech short and sweet (people want to eat their dinner!). Under three minutes. I wanted it to be from the heart, but not sappy. But that's me.

How did you meet your friend? What are some turning points in your friendship? What do you admire about her? If you had to describe her to someone, what would you say? Just be yourself. If you're funny, be funny. If you're serious, use that.

Some hints: Stay sober until you finish your toast. You don't want their grandchildren to watch the wedding video and ask, 'What's wrong with that lady?' And even if you memorize the toast, have a written copy with you. Being up in front of all those people gave me instant memory loss. No one's going to stone you if you refer to index cards.

think of something u would want to say to them whether its funny or sweet and just let it flow. thats what i did...
