While making toast for Emma this morning I was wondering why I just have a toaster oven and dont have a toaster. What do you have?

Re: Toaster or Toaster Oven

We have a toaster, but I grew up with a toaster oven, and I think I will register for one when I get to that stage of wedding planning

I have both but I think I used the toaster oven a total of 3 times.

Re: Toaster or Toaster Oven

We currently have a toaster only, but FH has had a toaster oven his whole life - we registered for it, but didn't get it at the shower, so if we don't get it at the wedding, we will buy it ourselves.

Re: Toaster or Toaster Oven

We have a toaster oven and we thought it would be enough. It's great at cooking, but it ***** at toasting for some reason, so it looks like we're going to have to get a toaster now too.

I don''t get along with either. I'm not kidding. Whatever I get, cheap or expensive, oven or not, they never work properly. I've been through about 6-7 of them. I had nothing for a while and I just used the microwave or the real oven. Now I have a 4 slice toaster that was kinda costly and is just as bad as anything else I have ever owned. I registered for some weird thing with a bagel warmer on top.

Re: Toaster or Toaster Oven

Ever since the house almost burned down when I was 5, I've never had a toaster oven in any place I've lived.

Re: Toaster or Toaster Oven

we have both. can't comment in re: which we use more as they are still boxed in the basement from the shower. i don't like cluttered countertops, so when we move, i plan to keep both in the pantry and take out when needed.

good job!!!
we have a toaster oven. more useful because it has several purposes and my bread/toast doesn't get stuck in the slots if a slice is too thick! i hated that about toasters...then you'd have to unplug it and try not to burn yourself trying to unclog the slot.

Re: Toaster or Toaster Oven

We def wanted a toaster oven when we moved into our new apt....b/c with only two people it's a lot easier to cook smaller portions in the toaster oven, rather then getting the oven dirty. My mom bought us a mickey mouse toaster as a housewarming present.
