Today is my niece's sixth birthday

My brother and his wife are going through an awful divorce. This woman is a horrible, viscious monster who my brother is now coming to realize. It's Tina's birthday and her mother will not let ANY of my brother's family (including my mother and her father, my brother) speak to her to wish her happy birthday. She hangs up whenever anyone calls. I haven't seen Tina since August. I knew what kind of mother she was and told her last time I saw her that I loved her and to never forget that; no matter what anyone says. She's a smart little girl and has a wicked memory, so I hope she does remember my words.

What a horrible story.. it never ceases to amaze me that the selfishness of one person can try to destroy a family , and especially keep a little girl from those people who truly love her and care for her!

Kids are very intuitive and I'm SURE that she knows her Aunt Sharon is there for her...
