Today is the day...

My FH and I are in Rockport MA meeting with our vendor, caterer, and photographer!! Whom would have guessed I got engaged only a month ago :)

My FH and I are on our way home this short but very successful weekend!! We will be signing contract with our venue, photographer and caterer :)

Now I hope my long island friends don't freak out when it's the the typical wedding.. Aka the cocktail being more food than the entrees! Lol. I think we are spoiled here on long island. Anyone ever been to a non LI wedding and seen the differences?

Hey date twin!! I was just in a wedding in Ithaca, and even though it was held at a country club, the was a big difference. Cocktail hour consisted of cheese and crackers, swedish meatballs and eggrolls, which is like 1/200th of the amount of food that will be at my cocktail hour and others. Dinner was a buffet, and the only dessert was wedding cake. The food was good, and no one was hungry, it just was not done like LI, but its rare that you find a place outside of LI that does it like them. Honestly, I think all the food at cocktail is a bit much, but when I tried to negotiate taking away some of the cocktail hour food for other things, they wouldn't have it. Its all being known as the best here on LI...
