today=terrible

I had the worst day at work....
I work for a mental health housing agency in which we make house visits to our clients. Today I went to see a particularly 'sick' client this afternoon.
Because of her diagnosis and recent symptoms, I am not visiting her apt alone anymore, I bring another staff member.
So I went today with a male staff member for something that needed to be done at her site. Long story short, she ended up verbally and physically assualting me...

I had to call 911 as she was banging on my car window with her fists and kicking my car door.

Police came and took her to Psych ER....

Ultimately I am glad she is going to the hospital to get the help she needs, but it sux that what happened today had to lead it there.

FH came to the scene (we work together) and then followed me home, as I was shaken up.

What a DAY!!!
Had to vent girls! Thanks for listening!

I am so sorry Randi, like I told you at work, if you need anything please tell me!!!!!! I wish the situation never occurred!!!!!! I am so glad that Eric was there!!!

Wow I can't even imagine being in a situation like that and I give you a lot of credit for being in that line of work. I'm sorry you had a bad day though

Wow, thats hard to deal with! You have alot of guts to deal with every day what most people will cross the street to get away from. People out there who are mentally ill can't help it and they are lucky to have caring poeple like you to help them even when things get bad! Hope tommorrow is better!

Thank god he was there. When she grabbed me, I yelled to him and he helped me and got her off me somehow....

Sorry! I work for an adult home as a social worker so I've seen these kind of things! I had to hospitalize a patient on Tuesday, it's so hard! But when they are delusional and out of control they need to go and get help. Hang in there, you will be fine! And your client will be better off with help they need!
