'together with their parents' INVITE question....

I have a question, which may sound silly, but I would like advice, and know what you girls did?

FH and I are paying for about 90-95% of our wedding. My mom is giving us $$ towards 'whatever we want to use it for' and paying for my dress. It's not a ton of money, but it will help out a bit. FH's parents are paying for the flowers only, which were about $1600.

I know that if the couple AND their parents are paying/hosting, you typically write 'Janet & Joe .. together with their parents' , or some version of this.

I guess what I want to know is, am I obligated to mention our parents on the invite, since we are paying for basically everything? Would it be inconsiderate to omit them, and have something like this instead, just mentioning us:

Because you have shared in
our lives
by your friendship and love, we
Janet
and
Joe
invite you to
etc etc....

thanks!

we are in the same boat...but i wrote together with their parents because i think both of our parents are just as excited about the wedding as we are...and i was happy to include them on our invites...so we wrote together with their parents..its only an invite and it gets chucked anyway...nobody reads into them that much. just my opinion...

that's the exact wording we did, here is our invite wording, we were in a similar situation as you:

Jessica Michelle XXXXXXX

and

Michael James XXXXXX

together with our parents

invite you to share

the beginning of our new life together

when we exchange marriage vows

on Sunday, the fourteenth of September

Two thousand and eight

at eleven o'clock in the morning
