Tommy's Tunes vs. LI Sound

Tommy's Tunes vs. LI Sound

Thoughts?

We met with them at a bridal showcase. Have seen neither in action. I liked LI Sound, so of course FH liked Tommy's Tunes.

Any thoughts about the differences between the two?

ETA: Both are house vendors at my hall.

We were gonna go wih tommy but we went with the house DJ instead. Reason being is that their energy was a little better and in the end we dont have to pay for them to eat and with 4 guys its an expense we didnt need

LI Sound was INCREDIBLE! Professional, classy, so fun and just awesome people to work with! BIL used them at his wedding, we booked them without looking anywhere else because of how great thye were and they definitely didnt disappoint at our wedding!

can't say anything about Tommy Tunes but I know I LOVED LI Sound when I saw them at a showcase and we have an appt. for Tuesday to finally book!

wasent very impressed with tommy tunes jmo. i booked li sound i loved them they worked with us and put on an amazing showcase

What did you ladies love about LI Sound at the showcase?

I felt LI Sound was more professional, and TT was more personal, but FH liked that about them.

funny out of all the showcases ive been too....the only DJ i remember that I thought did a hell of a job is LI Sound...so if i had to pick thats who id go w!

ok this was tough for me.. I looooooved Li Sound but they were 1000 more than tommy tunes.I knew tommy tunes was great cause my brother used them so we went with the cheaper option.. I wanted LI sounds , Fh wanted tommy so he won!!:) There both awesome though

According to the price lists I got yesterday, TT is MORE expensive

I actually met with both LI sound and Tommy tunes. I was very impressed with Li sound but I ended up going with Tommy tunes. I went with Tommy Tunes because I heard sooooo many good things about Tommy Tunes, and no one I knew used Li sound.

I don't think you could go wrong either way! Good luck!

We saw both at a bridal showcase and booked li sound without looking elsewhere....they had soo much energy and were very nice and worked with us w pricing and what we wanted, they knew our rh so they were able to tell us what to use and where.....

I used Tommy's Tunes for my wedding, and they nailed it! We met with both...I didn't feel like we had a connection with LI Sound, maybe just the guy we saw, but we weren't too impressed, plus they told us they didn't want us to do personalized BP entrances, and I didn't like that. Tommy's Tunes said no problem at all, and they really catered to us with our must-play list, and we had very very specific songs, and they didn't falter at all. They also filled in the blanks really well based off of the type of music we had on our must-play list...me and DH were sitting there like wow, I didn't even think to ask them to play this song, but I'm sure glad they did! So I'd definitely recommend them.

I met with both and booked TT. I had won something worth $600 with LI Sound when I saw their private showcase and sat with them the man there (can't remember his name but not Chris) was very rude. Told us he was very busy and if we wanted to try and negotiate packages to come back another time. He basically kicked us out. This was only my experience I have heard good things on here.

Chris did call and try to make a mends. I was willing to meet with him and ONLY him. In the mean while I met with Tommy Tunes who FH and I LOVED!!! They treated us awesome!! Threw in so much stuff really worked on price with us and seriously we felt like friends walking out of the meeting.

I have been to many functions with TT and have NEVER had a bad time. I am glad this is one thing I know I don't have to worry about on the day of.

We booked Tommy's Tunes. When I tried to contact LI Sound, they kept chaning the appointment time and didn't seem like they cared.

When we met with TT, he was very personal. He gave great ideas of music that we are going to use at the wedding and was willing to play anything we wanted. Plus, he had a great deal on the lighing, which is what I totally wanted.

I cannot comment on LI Sound. We booked TT. I have been to weddings that they DJed and FH and I loved them.

We met with both, didn't really dig Tommy Tunes when we met with them, loved LI Sound and booked with them (Chris). BUT, then when I was at a wedding recently Tommy Tunes was DJ'ing and I thought they were amazing, so I really don't think you can go wrong with either. I didn't like the video they showed at TT because the MC seemed to be in the middle of everything all the time, but at the wedding I was at, Frankie was the MC and he was involved only to the extent he needed to be and not in everyone's face which I thought was great. I've heard great things about both DJ companies so I wouldn't stress over one or the other, just see who gives you a better deal and who you feel more comfortable with. HTH!

I think as the other girls have said before, TT is more personal. Tommy is really a great guy and will do whatever he can do to work with you. He called me personally to talk to me about the uplighting for my wedding when I decided I wanted it and took care of it even though they didn't have the lights for my day. He's ordering more!! I completely trust them to do an amazing job and have seen them many times before. I just don't like some of the stories I've heard about LI Sound and their professionalism, although I know they do a great job.
For me, I'd say Tommy's Tunes all the way!!!!! You can't go wrong!!
