We close at 12:30 and I just spoke with our Title Company who managed to shave nearly 2K off of our estimated closing costs. So we are down to a little more than 5K, which leaves us money to pay off some bills I am so thrilled, I can't wait to tell Keith.
We are moving this weekend. Woo hoo, I can't wait!
Then I will join you ladies here with a million questions about finishing our basement, adding a fireplace to the basement, building a deck off the kitchen and a whole host of other issues that I can't wait to tackle.

Wow only 5K ... The mortgage broker told me to expect about 10-12K!!!

Suzanne, I live in MD so the prices of a home are much lower. That is why the closing costs seem so low. Plus, my title co does a lot of work for the law firm I work at and I think they worked hard to keep the costs low It about time I start to see some benefit from that law degree.
