My DH is a contractor and does all that junk. Siding depends on what material and how big your house is of course. It could be anywhere from $10,000-$50,000+ depending on those 2 things. New front door again depends on what you want but a Home Depot one could be like $200 and installed along with your siding for about $200. A new garage door is about $900 installed. New front steps again depending on what you want varies. My DH just built a small deck with rail and steps for a house my mom owns and using cedar it was about $1500.

I used a company for windows, but they also install siding. I was really impressed with the price, customer service, and quality of the product. I would really recommend them.

You can ask to speak with Frank. If he asks, you can tell him you got his info from Andrea.

I used Total Home Construction in Plainview for my siding, new roof, all new windows including a very large bow window, and 2 new doors in Dec 03 and would totally recommend them. It depends on home many windows, how big your house is, what brand windows and siding you choose. etc - how much it will cost. My bog advice is look at houses that the contarctor has done in the last 5 years. One contractor we loved - we went to a few houses they did like 5 years ago and the siding was already falling down - on more than one home. Total Home - the houses still looked brand new.

We have done all of these things to our house (we basically rebuilt it)
First- you need to do the window. (the siding needs to be ripped down in order to insert the new window)

Then from there you can put the siding on the house. You'll find most siding companies do windows as well. (we used Brothers Aluminum for both our bay window & siding and they were terrific)

Front door should be done before the siding as well, since you'll want to have all the trim matched up (We found this one out just recently, when we installed the door after the siding and we did it ourselves)

Front steps can be done at anytime BUT make sure you DO NOT do your landscaping yet! there is a huge chance that your lawn/plants will get ruined with concrete/trampeling from the workers (our guy warned us about this)

Go to Lowes for the garage door. Home Depot doors weren't that nice-- and Lowes were more reasonable. We bought our door for like $300 and DH installed it himself, but I think it was $300 to have it installed.

And we are currently looking at fences, we'll probably go to Home Depot for that and install ourselves. So I can't offer much advice there.

We didn't need to completely re-do our steps (which are brick) We just had a few loose bricks on the top layer that needed to be fixed, so they replaced the bricks and re-mortered them. It saved us a TON of $$ instead of doing a whole new stoop.
We have a neighbor whose business this is and my DH made the deal with him (in Italian) so I'm not sure how much we paid but I'll ask him and get back to you.

Maybe because we have a small 3 bedroom ranch. It is only 1 floor. My sister has about the same size house and she paid the same.
