I've never had a horse seem unhappy about it. When I used to go all the time, I actually had a very good relationship with my usual horse, Bubba. He would always nuzzle with me before we rode and I'd bring him carrots and apples to eat. He always would get excited (stamp his front hoof and neigh) when I would get his reins and riding blanket (I don't use a saddle).

I think some do and some don't. It depends on their training and owner.

i dont know but not to scare you our family wont ride horse my 17yrs cousin died a few months ago, in a freak horse accident. she had been riding horse for years, jsut so happen she rode a different horse then she ususally ride ( but had roden this one a few times b4) and it throw her off.

the story gets more detailed and tragic but our family refuses to ride horses now
