Tonight ...

... is my first fitting ... and I'm 192 lbs ... about 30 more than I wanted to be, and about 10 more than I was when I bought the dress, which I really don't understand, because I have been working my a$$ off dieting and working out.

that I don't need to spend money that I don't have in alterations ...

i just looked at your photos and can i just say that you are truly stunning. you look amazing in your dress and im sure when you put it on tonight you will still look fantastic in it.

and secondly your so brave for posting your weight i weigh about the same (give or take a few lbs) and i have to literally force myself to even step on the scale alone in my own bathroom.
im serious when i say you pull it off so well, i cant believe we weigh nealry the same and you look half my size. you are a beautiful girl who will make a beautiful bride. its just a number dont let it freak you out

I completely agree! I weigh about 200 and i look NOTHING like you! just goes to show how different we all are! I wish i looked more like your body type than mine!
Don't worry, i'm sure your dress will fit fine and even if they have to let it out a bit, it will all work out

i totally understand the feelings you 're having!!! when i ordered my dress, they told me to get one size up (which thankfully, i did), but at the time i really thought i could have gotten the smaller size. and i was so sure that i would only lose weight as the wedding day got closer.

well, needless to say that never happened. but ya know what? on my wedding day, that was the last thing on my mind. between the hair, the makeup, the jewels, and even the larger-sized dress, i felt more beautiful than ever. i'm certain you'll feel the same... you'll see! can't wait to see pics! :)

UPDATE - my dress was about 3 inches too tight. It wouldn't zip. After about 2 hours crying in the fitting room, a light bulb went off over the seamstress' head - we are converting the back of my dress into a corset back. So, my new first fitting will be this Saturday at 2pm.
