Tonight I meet my photographer.......

After work tonight I'm going to Park Avenue Sudios, I'm actually nervous! Any advice girls???
What is a good budget?? What must I absolutely have in my package? I am going and have not a clue on what I want-oops!

Questions: Traditional or photojournalistic
digital or film (with Park ave I recomend digital)
How many albums, parent albums?
How many pics in each album?
What photographer can we use?
Do we have input as to what pictures I can have taken?
Can I see 1-2 albums of the particular photog I want to use?
Who owns the rights to the photos after the wedding?

Depends on your budget, I spent a little over 10% of my budget on pics, they are the only thing (besides video) that you actually take away from the wedding!!!!

Let me know how it goes, I am thinking of going with Park Avenue, the prices I have give you the most for your money with them.

Ok we booked last nite but today I am a nervous wreck!!! We absolutely loved Brian, he was very nice, but he informed us on our bad time scheduling.
Our church is 11-1130, reception starts at 1230. He informed us that nothing ever runs on time or as scheduled. So pretty much said he would do our pics but it would be really tight and we would miss our whole CH and some of the reception.
And if I thought my life wasn't 'traditional' as it is, ready, we decided to take pics B4 the wedding!!! Am I crazy?!?!?!?
Now all I'm worried about is getting all 6 girls, MOB, MOG, and me( ) ready by 9am.
Oh and now have to call limo company and change times, and actually call TC to see if I can go there B4 my reception to take my pics there.
Well now I get to attend my whole wedding!!!!
What do you think? How crazy is this?

Most of the photographers I met with recommended pictures before the ceremony, to cut down the time taken away during the cocktail hour and reception. You still would have pictures taken during those times, but not as much.

I was told I would need 2-3 hours for photos, Hope that helps

I am taking pictures before the ceremony as well.. try not to stress. It is better that way..you can enjoy your CH and not run around during the whole wedding! Good luck!

I am taking pictures before the ceremony as well. It is a little untraditional, but pictures are more important to me than being traditional. besides, they set it up real cute when you first see each other and the pics could come out really nice!

I had one photographer suggeest blind folding the groom and they will take pics with the two of you next to eat other, him blind folded.. then pics of you taking the blind fold off of him... then pics of his reation. I think that is such a cute idea!!!

Oooh so cute! But now I don't have a location to take these pics! HEEEELLLLLPPPPP
FH just called TC won't let us take them there beforehand, now what do I do?

What about your church before the ceremony, or at a park nearby? Old Westbury gardens can be a little pricey, but I have seen some BEAUTIFUL pictures taken there before the ceremony, then go to the church for the ceremony and off to the reception

since you are getting married in june, it will be a nice time of the year for outdoor pictures. Try a local beach or park. I love the stonybrook duck park. There is a whole trail, water, beautiful landscapes. Check it out.. the only thing is that you need to have permission to take pics there. I have their contact info. if you would like it. but I love the blindfold idea!
