I know weight training, but does anyone have a certain routine that they use...?
I am starting to lose a decent amount of weight and am working to tone up my stomach, but I don't know where to begin with my arms.

Re: Toning flabby arms...
Me too, I am wearing a strapless dress and i just lost some weight and I need to tone my arms and belly.
Pilates 5x a week is great, but I need a good DVD??. Do they still have those 8 minute workouts for arms, legs, buns and stomach?? Those are the BEST!!!

I did pilates for a long time. You need alot of room - but Windsor Pilates are great! If you get the Advanced Body Slimming (about 18 minutes) and the Upper Body one is good also.

Push ups, push ups, push ups.
Start with girl push ups and you will be surprised how quickly you move on to regular push ups.
Work the whole area - triceps, biceps, & shoulders.
Triceps - dips - do these right off a weight bench.
Biceps - regular curls & hammer curls
Shoulders - lateral raises
Also - do lots of cardio!
Good Luck!

I'm having the same issue. push ups are definatly good. If you can't do them on the ground try starting to do them up against the wall for a week. Then work your way up (or I should say down LOL...to the ground!) Tricept dips are also amazing. You can do these right on the floor if you don't have any equiptment. The further out you keep you legs the more challenging the exercise is!

You would really be surprised how quickly you can work your way up from doing even 3 push-ups! That's how I started. They seem to get easier by the week!

They actually have 8 minute ares, legs, stomach, and butt pilates tapes now. I think they sell it through the lakeside.com website
