Tony N Tinas Wedding?

Has anyone gone to this show? Is it stupid or funny?


Thinking of doing this for my bridesmaid lunch.

HILARIOUS!!! It's a great show but not sure if it would be as intimate as having it at a rest/or at your home.. But if you're looking for more of a girls night out type of thing, then go with it.. it's a really funny show..

I loved it, my GF treated me and another GF to it and I did not stop laughing the entire time. You have to be a person that does not mind participating in tho' it is all about audience pariticipation. You become a member of the family at the wedding. I loved it

Stef not the place for a lunch...it is get up and dance and if you want to have a convo....not possible at all. Would not reccomend it for that

My bridesmaids and I talk all the time so Im not too worried about conversation.

Im thinking we might all meet at my house for some wine/cheese, then i can give them their gifts and then off to the show.

PS: Has anyone been to the boat version? That seems to be the only option until my wedding.

I went to Birdy's Bachelorette party last weekend and it was a blast!! Totally hysterical and lots of fun. I would definitely recommend it. They give you the funniest gift bag and the show is great and the men are gorgeous!!! I've never been to Tony and Tina's but it's supposed to be pretty similar.

I went to a similiar show with my family and didn't love it. I think it depends on your sense of humor and who you go with. If you're into stupid/silly funny (Adam Sandler, Jim Carey, etc) - you'll probably enjoy it. Its not really my thing.

Stef...you can always try Naked Boys Dancing went their for my Bachelorette Party, then went to Fairweathers for dinner and drinks after...Show was great..funny too.

I don't want to go anywhere that is bachelorette party - ish since this is for my bridesmaids enjoyment, not mine.

I don't remember the name of it - but it was in the same vein as Tony & Tina's - just using different names. It was on LI a few years ago.

Also went to Naked Boys Singing for one of my bachlorette parties - its was fun but tailored to the gay crowd (there weren't very many women at the show we went to and a lot of it is gay humor). Its also a lot of penis in your face.

sonic - maybe you should check out Mama Mia! I hear it's fantastic...if you are looking for a show. Blue Man Group is a lot of fun too - or how about Vagina Monologues? Cabaret? I know the idea of the wedding one is great...but I hear mixed reviews of that show.

You could also maybe bring them to Bubble Lounge for a champagne party...or that Dylan's Candy Bar and just eat tons of candy - or Serendipity for ice cream sundaes. Just some ideas....Good luck!

Mamma Mia and Blue Man Group are great shows - a lot of fun. I love jenny's ideas

I loved Mama Mia and it's appropriate b/c it's also wedding related.

Jenny - great ideaas but tickets to Mama Mia or Caberet are in the neighborhood of $90 each which is a bit more than I can spend. Plus lunch in midtown and im offcially overbudget.

I want to not only eat but also do something for about $50-60/person.

Any other ideas?
